OUR APPROACH

A Holistic Way of Life

Acupuncture

ACUPUNCTURE

Our Board-Certified Licensed Acupuncturist inserts very fine, thin, sterilized and disposable needles into acupuncture points on your body. Because acupuncture points are areas of electrical sensitivity, inserting needles at these points stimulate nerves that transmit impulses to the hypothalamus-pituitary system in the brain.

The hypothalamus-pituitary glands are responsible for releasing neurotransmitters and endorphins which is the body’s natural pain-killing hormone.

The substances released as a result of acupuncture relax the body, and also regulate serotonin in the brain, which affects the emotion states. Other physiological effects include increased circulation, decreased inflammation, relief of muscle spasms and a stronger immune system.

Alternative Medicine

ORIENTAL MEDICINE

In the traditional system of Chinese herbal medicine, herbal formulas can be used to treat virtually any condition. Some of the most common uses include liver disease ( hepatitis and cirrhosis ), sexual dysfunction in men , infertility in women , insomnia , colds and flus , menstrual pain , irregular menstruation, menopause , and cancer treatment support .

Come in for your initial consultation and our herbalist will make an herbal treatment specifically designed for your body.

CUPPING

Acupuncture is more than skin deep. Cupping therapy is when our therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. Benefits of cupping include pain relief, muscle relaxation, and deep tissue massage. Focused blow flow helps your body by flushing built-up toxins through the lymphatic system.
